Hey guys! If you have liked my music journaling and my reviews than thank-you! And if your’e a beginner guitarist, than your reading the perfect article to help you. Today I’m giving you 5 tips to become a guitar god! Let’s dive in!
5. PRACTICE YOUR SCALES
This is VERY important! This will help every thing you play become something. Because if you don’t stay inside the scale and you improvise without knowing it you’ll end up like Nick Jonas, who made a fool out of himself improvising a solo in a scale he didn’t know.
4. PRACTICE SONGS YOU WANT TO LEARN
Whatever genre you like, look up good beginner guitarist songs in that genre. You’ll have fun and that’s important. Scales are very important, but their not that fun. If you keep learning and playing new songs regularly you’ll never want to quite playing, and having fun and having the passion for it, is very important. But if you like jazz, you’re screwed because there is no easy songs there. (Just Kidding:)
3. LISTEN TO DIFFERENT MUSIC
This is the easiest thing to do on here. Yet very important! Find new music all the time, and take the opportunity to find something new all the time. It will inspire you to grow, get better, & have fun with it! This is really also kinda a tip for life. Take the leap and find something new!
2. PLAY ANYTIME YOU GET THE CHANCE
This is a MUST. Play consistently, come up with a practice schedule and play what is best for you and what will make you better. This will discipline you & make you a great guitarist in good time.
1. HAVE FUN
This is number 1 for a good reason. If you’re not having fun, then you’ll be depressed. Whether you’re really good or really bad, no fun takes life out of you. As one man once said – “Talent is good. Practice is better. Passion is best.”
